Yanimda
In contexts where sexual health is often learned through silence and fragmented information, Yanimda emerges as a resource designed to empower young women in Azerbaijan, enabling them to access accurate knowledge without cultural disruption.
Developed by Ayan Mammadli at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), this project proposes an empathetic rather than moralistic approach, offering tools that allow users to explore their concerns with confidence.

Yanimda combines a discreet physical invitation with a private digital platform to create a gradual and respectful learning experience.
It consists of small cards or leaflets placed in strategic locations, such as public restrooms, containing a QR code for quick and private access. A neutrally designed, welcoming website then functions as a safe space for self-discovery. The information is presented step by step, covering topics from anatomy and menstrual health to relationships, consent, and sexual well-being.
Yanimda’s ultimate goal is to enable young women to navigate cultural narratives surrounding female sexuality with confidence and self-respect—fostering emotional safety, the ability to set boundaries, and effective communication skills.
