SKIT is an innovative single-serve UHT milk system created as a direct response to plastic pollution in the Mediterranean and the culture of disposability. Designed by Aina Femenia Mas, a graduate of Nebrija University, the project transforms an everyday, automatic action into a responsible decision for the ecosystem.

SKIT is committed to high quality and genuine sustainability. The container is made from an inert material that ensures food safety and is 100% recyclable. Inspired by the pharmaceutical industry, the design incorporates a clean-break opening system that guarantees safe access without cuts or accidental spills. As a mono-material package, it facilitates reintegration into the production cycle, eliminating single-use plastic waste.

SKIT addresses not only the primary packaging but the entire product life cycle. The single-serve units are presented in mono-material cardboard packaging, aligned with a zero-waste philosophy. The project promotes local production to minimize the carbon footprint associated with transportation and seeks to reverse the systemic disconnection between mass consumption habits and environmental impact on our coastlines.

How is SKIT used?

The process is intuitive and safe, designed for a smooth user experience:

  1. Remove the container from the cardboard box.
  2. Hold the body of the container firmly.
  3. Apply slight pressure to the neck to open it cleanly.
  4. Pour the milk directly into the cup and it is ready to consume.
