EYRA

 EYRA

EYRA is positioned as an engineering solution applied to women’s health, developed by Beatriz Iturralde Cubertorer under the WIND project. This device is not just a case, but a comprehensive cleaning tool designed to eliminate the hygiene barriers faced by menstrual cup users outside the home.

The device has a minimalist and modern aesthetic with organic and rounded shapes. Its compact design is intended for maximum portability, allowing it to be carried discreetly in any bag or backpack. The soft colors (pinks and purples) seek to normalize and give a technological and friendly approach to menstrual care.

The process of using EYRA stands out for its simplicity and effectiveness:

Preparation and Opening: After unlocking the transport lock, the ergonomic cap is removed.

Loading the Cup: The cup is inserted upside down or adjusted into the internal support of the cap, making it easier for water or cleaning solution to reach all surfaces of the silicone.

Action Mechanism: Once the device is sealed, the user turns the bottom base. This movement suggests an internal mechanical action (possibly centrifugal or water flow) that cleans the cup of residues without the need for direct manual contact with blood.

Completion: After the process, the cup is removed completely sanitized and ready for immediate use.

The product has an easy-to-use design:

Safety Closure: Located at the top, it ensures that the device remains sealed during cleaning or transport, preventing liquid leaks.

Loading Body: The central section where the menstrual cup is housed, designed to accommodate different sizes of standard cups on the market.

Actuator Base: A rotating base that serves as a mechanical interface to activate the internal cleaning mechanism.
